RAK Transport Authority (RAKTA), in cooperation and coordination with the Ministry of Tolerance and Coexistence, organized an introductory workshop on the concept of tolerance in the UAE for RAKTA employees on the International Day for Tolerance, which falls on Monday, November 16, 2020.
The workshop aims to strengthen the values of tolerance, coexistence and acceptance of others following in the footsteps of the founding father of UAE, Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, may God rest his soul.
The UAE established the principles respect, tolerance, and mutual cooperation values in society in a way that enhances the culture of human brotherhood. It is worth noting that coexistence is an approach and vision that the UAE, under its leadership and its citizens, works to promote and instill these values in the hearts of its children to be a daily life practice for all UAE residents.
Out of RAKTA’s keenness to adopt best practices in its facilities, H.E Eng. Esmaeel Hasan Al Blooshi – General Manager of RAKTA conducts an inspection visit to the Hamra Call Center. During the visit, he was briefed on the progress of the development work at the center, including services provided to customers.
H.E also confirmed in working hard to provide the best services to customers in order to achieve RAKTA’s vision 2020-2025.
The visit was attended by Mr. Mohamed Hashem Esmaeel – Director of Quality Control and Operations, Mr. Saeed Ali Al Nuaimi – Business Development Manager, and Mr. Muhammad Zaman – Operations Manager of Arabia Taxi Company.
RAKTA has been featured on this month’s Microsoft’s Global Government references under the title
“Empowering People, Enhancing Governments and Enabling Societies”, in letting Organization across the World to understand and innovate new ways to meet their mission and serve societies better in the face of change.
A number of RAKTA’s employees participated in training workshop on the third generation of eDirham cards organized by the Finance Department in Ras Al Khaimah, which lasted for two days.
During the workshop, a full explanation was provided about the new updates on the e-dirham, payment methods, and the most important benefits and features that aim to providing an easy and safer experience for customers. It also contributes to improving lifestyle and provides a unified modern payment system for all government agencies to collect their payments and manage their revenue streams.
In line with the government’s vision to achieve the highest levels of customer happiness, RAKTA, represented by the Strategic Planning and Projects Department, and the Customer Happiness Department, held the Second Virtual Customer Forum for the year 2020 over two days. The most important ideas and suggestions of customers for improving licensing services were presented in order to reach the highest level of customer happiness.
The forum aims to extract ideas and proposals that work to develop and make positive changes in the authority’s service system.
Whereas, RAKTA pays great attention to the participant’s suggestions and opinions to improve the quality of services provided to customers.
Coinciding with the World Breast Cancer Awareness Month, RAKTA’s Security and Safety Team, in cooperation with the Ras Al Khaimah Medical District – Department of Health Education and Promotion, organized an awareness workshop on breast cancer in order to learn aspects of this disease and strengthen the importance of following a healthy lifestyle.
The workshop aims to strengthen the general health of women and raise awareness about the dangers of this disease, identify its symptoms, how to prevent and treat it, as well as the importance of self-detection and early detection.
The workshop was implemented with the participation of all RAKTA’s employees through the virtual “remote” platform in order to preserve the aspect of social distancing and in line with the precautionary measures taken by the authority to limit the spread of COVID19 virus and to preserve the health and safety of the participants in this workshop.
RAK Transport Authority (RAKTA) held a coordination meeting with RAK Police GHQ, headed by H.E Eng. Esmaeel Hasan Al Blooshi – General Manager of RAKTA and in the presence of Colonel / Omar Muhammad Al-Tenaiji – Deputy Director of the Electronic Services Department and Lieutenant Colonel / Muhammad Abdullah Al Qasimi – Deputy Director of the Investigation Department and Captain / Najm Abdullah Al-Bazzi – Manager of the General Licenses Branch.
During the meeting, they discussed joint cooperation mechanisms and ways to enhance and develop them in order to achieve integration between the various government agencies and in a manner that serves the public interest of the emirate.
As part of its strategic plan 2020-2025, RAKTA launched the smart driver training application (Al Bosala), which aims to provide training and development services for all public transport drivers in the emirate, including taxis, limousines, public buses, school buses conductors, drivers and other transport companies.
The application provides several advantages, including the ability to use the application for a large number of trainees at the same time in two languages, English and Urdu, and other languages will be included in the future. The application also contributes to improving the security and transportation safety system by obliging drivers to undergo specialized courses that raise awareness of traffic rules and safe driving and reduce accidents on the roads.
Furthermore, the application includes many courses such as general safety, customer service, dealing with handicap people, precautionary measures for the COVID 19 pandemic, road safety, training programs on the Arabic and English languages, in addition to labor laws in the UAE, Emirati culture and other training programs updated on the application. Moreover, the performance of drivers is measured and evaluated before and after attending the course.
Mr. Mohamed Hashem – Director of the Quality Control and Operations stated that through the launch of the application’s pilot phase at the beginning of last April, the application met a wide turnout from taxi drivers, as the number of application users reached more than 800 drivers. As the application contributed to the continuity of training programs during the COVID 19 pandemic, by avoiding physical contact, providing drivers with the opportunity to use technology to develop their skills in various fields, in addition to that the application was linked to an incentive system to encourage drivers to attend courses. He added: The application will contribute to raising the driver’s professional and behavioral level, and drive safely and responsibly, in a way that contributes to free movement from accidents and traffic violations, in a manner that satisfies the users of transportation. Also, the application will provide the possibility of submitting complaints and suggestions
H.E. Eng. Esmaeel Hasan Al Blooshi, General Manager of RAK Transport Authority (RAKTA), honored the taxi driver, Mir Nawaz, for his initiative that reflects the values of social responsibility. Where the driver helped a citizen, Maryam Al-Mahrezi, whose private vehicle was broken down on the highway.
H.E praised the good behavior of the driver, which reflects the principles that RAKTA is working to instill among its employees by cultivating a spirit of cooperation and tolerance, which enhances the confidence of the customers, residents and visitors of Ras Al Khaimah, in the services provided to them.
Stressing that the authority is always keen to honor distinguished drivers, as a matter of encouraging and motivating them to adhere to safe driving standards and abide by the rules and laws to reach the highest levels of service excellence.
As the citizen Maryam Al-Mahrezi also expressed her praise for RAKTA’s assistance and service provided by the driver on the highway.
A delegation from Ibrahim bin Hamad Obaidullah Hospital honored Rak Transport Authority (RAKTA), in appreciation of the authority’s efforts and outstanding cooperation in facing the COVID-19 pandemic by allocating vehicles to transport the recovered from quarantine sites in the Emirate of Ras Al Khaimah to their homes inside and outside the emirate. And it comes within its community initiatives and its national responsibility.
The delegation was received by Mr. Mohamed Hashim Esmaeel – Director of the Quality Control and Operations Department, and Mr. Abdullah Ali Al-Hasani – Manager of Media and Communication Department, on the side of Obaidullah Hospital, Mr. Muhammad Ali Al-Yaqoubi – Head of the Support Services Department and Mr. Abdel Moneim Bin Taib – Head of the Administrative Officers Unit.
Mr. Mohamed Hashem also extended his sincere thanks to Ibrahim Obaidullah Hospital, stressing that what RAKTA has done is a national duty to support the efforts of the first line of defense to confront the Coronavirus pandemic and everything that would serve the community.
